On the Horizon 

Katie just finished her ten month contract as a Resident Actor with Charleston Stage Company. For her final role she played Brenda Strong in Catch Me If You Can the Musical. She was lucky enough to also meet the real Frank Abignale Jr., whom the story is based on. He lives in Charleston, SC, and was a local supporter of the produciton. Photos and media clips coming soon!

 

Katie is happy to announce that this summer she will perform as a lead singer in Cedar Point's Luminosity show! Cedar Point is the largest amusement park in the country, and Luminosity is its premiere show. Not to mention Sandusky Ohio on Lake Erie is gorgeous!  

A Year In Review

For the past ten months Katie has enjoyed working in the professional Resident Acting Compay at Charleston Stage. This season she played Essie Carmichael in You Can't Take It With You, Belle in A Christmas Carol, Mrs. Bradley in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and performed as an ensemble 

member in Mel Brook's Young Frankenstein. 

 

Katie graduated Magna Cum Laude from James Madison University, earning her BA in Musical Theatre. Katie also received this year's Outstanding Musical Theatre Senior award for her work and involvement in the department.

 

For Katie's final performance at James Madison, she took on the challenge of Sally Bowles in Cabaret, for which her peers voted her the season's Best Actress Award.

 

Last February, Katie attended the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and participated in the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship competition, for her performance as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. Out of 210 actors, she was one of sixteen to perform in the third and final round of the competition.
